Yep - this pretty much sums it up. Well, hopefully not the 3rd description down. But the rest is unfortunately our current state of affairs here at Found. After 4 years in our building on 8th we have been notified that our cool little building is being slated for demolition as part of a bigger real estate development plan. We have until the end of the summer (Sept.1) to find a new home for FOUND.
As of yet we have no idea where we are going to relocate so we thought maybe it would be a good idea to see if any of our FOUND followers have any suggestions! Maybe you know of a perfect spot or know a guy that knows a guy that has a perfect spot? Or even just would be willing to suggest an area we haven't considered. We are open to any or all ideas and would love to hear your thoughts..
And we appreciate your opinion so much that we are happy to be offering a $500.00 gift certificate if someone refers us to a place the eventually becomes our new home..
So please post any ideas, thoughts, random comments about where you would like to see FOUND put down new roots and in the meantime we look forward to a busy summer here at our current location.!

  1. this breaks my heart! i'm so sorry, found ladies. my initial thought was shacking up at the now vacant home depot building :) but i'm guessing you'd like something a bit cozier. are you looking to stay close to downtown holland? if so, what about that little blue building across from boatwerks? it used to be the blue house bistro (i think). OR how about the old nob hill space on graafschaap in holland? it is so stinking cute! here's a link: here's a link to see it http://www.remax-lakeshore.com/Commercial/4585-60th-St-Holland-MI-49423/XWT/11056326/

another cute option would be in washington square. this little cutie is vacant: http://www.remax-lakeshore.com/Commercial/455-Washington-Ave-Holland-MI-49423/XWT/13018655/

until then, maybe you're settled, maybe you could consider embracing the vagabond lifestyle and travel around doing pop up shops?

  3. Oh no! I love my FOUND on 8th! Well, bigger & better things for you, lovelies.
Sarah's suggestion of Wash Square is nice as you would really help bring more traffic to that cute (but honestly, not logistically awesome) area. The old Blue House Bistro is now the Kitchen Collective, so that's a no-go.

I would recommend a space at Baker Lofts. It's Holland's first multi-use building, there's lots of new blood bringing traffic to the space (Warehaus, Theodore's restaurant, etc). Plus, with SO many brides using Baker Events and so many people moving to Baker Lofts (like we just did), it would be a GREAT spot to really hit up your demographic. There's a beautiful space just down the hall from Theodore's and before the event center.
We'll keep an eye out for you guys... <3
